Ballot Drop-Off Sites
The Clerk's Office must receive your absentee in time to deliver it to your polling place on Election Day. Drop boxes will be available until 5 p.m. the day before the election. Two election officials regularly empty the drop box , secure the absentees in a courier bag with tamper-evident seals bearing unique serial numbers, and deliver the courier bag and chain-of-custody form to two officials in the Clerk's Office.
If returning your ballot through the mail, we recommend you mail it at least one week before Election Day.
Under the Voting Rights Act, voters who need help mailing or delivering their ballot due to a disability may get help from a person of their choice. The person providing help may not be the voter's employer, agent of the voter's employer, or officer or agent of the voter's union. Otherwise, voters must mail or deliver their own absentee ballot.
