Imagination Center at Reindahl Park Ribbon Cutting
Event Description
Celebrate the opening day of the Imagination Center at Reindahl Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony from 3:00 - 4:00pm.
Speakers include:
- City of Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway
- Wisconsin Department of Administration Secretary Kathy Blumenfeld
- Madison Public Library Director Tana Elias
- Madison Public Library Foundation Executive Director Conor Moran
- District 17 Alder Sabrina Madison
- District 12 Alder Julia Matthews
- A representative from Madison Parks
- A representative from Madison Engineering
Following the ribbon cutting, the Imagination Center Library will open its doors to the public for the first time!
- 4:00 - 5:00pm: A Wild Rumpus for kids and families will take place outside (weather location: Parks Pavilion).
- 4:00 - 8:00pm: Get your library card, take a self-directed tour of the space, visit the "How-To" corner, check out the new public art (The Passage of Being by Nate Page), and enjoy light refreshments. When you get a library card at the Imagination Center at Reindahl Park from September - December 2026, you'll receive a special Welcome to the Neighborhood booklet, which includes deals and coupons for local businesses!
- 5:00 - 6:30pm: A movie in the park - Dog Man (2025 PG 1h 29m) will take place outside (weather location: Parks Pavilion).
No registration required; all ages welcome.
